StaffDrum Major/Leadership Camp Staff  | Scott Reese is a former Director of Bands at North Laural High School in London, Kentucky. Active as a clinician and adjudicator for high school and college band programs throughout the nation, Mr. Reese is widely recognized for his leadership and motivational teaching skills. Mr. Reese gained valuable experience as drum major for his high school band before serving four years as Head Drum Major of the Eastern Kentucky University Marching Band. He received his Master's Degree in Conducting from Appalachian State University, and has served as an instructor/clinician for the renowned Smith-Walbridge School of Drum Majoring. Mr. Reese currently presents sessions on leadership skills across the country for various events and camps, and is presently completing his doctorate in ministry. |  | Brian Griffiths is the Assistant Director of Bands at West High School in Salem, Oregon. He also finds time to teach brass performance and music education at Corban College. Mr. Griffiths is active as a clinician in band leadership, ensemble rehearsals, and low brass technique across the nation. After serving as drum major of his high school marching band and gaining valuable leadership experience in the U.S. Navy, Mr. Griffiths served as drum major of the University of Oregon Marching Band. In addition to numerous guest clinician opportunities and leadership seminars, he taught at the Oregon Summer Music Institute Drum Major Camp for more than 10 years. |  | Mitch Blake spent four years as the drum major at Oregon State University and then another as Student Director of Athletic Band Programs. He holds a bachelor's degree from Oregon State, and is a graduate of McNary High School in Keizer. He served as staff member for the U of O Drum Major Camp for 4 years, and has also been a visual instructor, music instructor, and drill writer at several Salem high school programs for many years. |  | Samantha Archer, a graduate and former Drum Major of Sheldon High School in Eugene, Oregon, is excited to hold further involvement in the music program at the University of Oregon, where she is working toward her degree in Family and Human Services. She has attended this camp for the past three years in varying capacities and will be a truly great asset to us upon her return this summer for her fourth. She divides her time between school and work and enjoys any opportunity to work with people. | Color Guard Camp Staff  | Emily Ross is the Dance Instructor at Linfield College, the Director of the Linfield Dance Ensemble, and the faculty advisor of the Breakdancing Club. She is a graduate of Sprague High School and the University of Oregon, where she earned a B.S. in Dance. She marched in colorguards at Sprague and the U of O, as well as Argonauts once upon a time. She has taught at Willamette, McKay, and West Salem High Schools, as well as appearing as a guest teacher at many elementary, junior high, and high schools, and the U of O. She is also the Rehearsal Director of Dance Africa, a repertory company she has danced with for six years. |  | Briana Hoffman, a graduate and former Guard Captain of the Kennewick High School band program in Kennewick, Washington, is currently working toward her bachelor's degree in dance education and minoring in vocal music performance at Brigham Young University, where she performs with the Color Guard. She is also the guard instructor at Bingham High School in South Jordan, Utah. A fine musician, she also plays in various ensembles on the french horn. She has marched and taught color guard as well as winter guard, and brings with her many fine people skills and organizational talents. | Comprehensive and Administrative Staff  | Alan Keown, Camp Director, is also a marching percussion specialist at several Salem schools, and a Yamaha and Pro-Mark clinician. |  | Matt Savage is the marching percussion specialist at the University of North Carolina, nationally recognized marching percussion clinician with Pearl and Pro-Mark, and staff arranger for Matrix Publishing Company. | |
